Admission procedure

There is no entrance exam, but an application selection process. The university evaluates your grades in biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics. It is not compulsory to have all these subjects. If you took all four subjects in high school, only the best final grade in two of the four subjects will be considered.

Apart from school grades, you can earn points through other studies:

-College or university transcripts are accepted if they include grades in the 4 required subjects.

-Certificates of completion of pre-medical courses are accepted if they contain grades in the 4 required subjects.

Admission procedure

Decision about admission is based on grades on secondary school graduation certificate. There are no entrance exams or interviews.

Admission requires submitting results from two subjects:

• BIOLOGY

• CHEMISTRY or PHYSICS or MATHEMATICS.

Biology is mandatory. Among Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, only one subject is required. The subjects can be passed at any level. After a candidate submits their certificate, their grades in relevant subjects are converted to points. The candidate can achieve a maximum of 300 points – 150 for Biology and 150 for Chemistry or Physics or Mathematics. Candidates for Medicine and Dentistry in English need to achieve at least 30 points for each subject and at least 100 points in total.

Admission procedure

The procedure is quite easy, with MS Teams interview instead of written entrance exam. This way you don’t have to travel to Poland just for one exam. All candidates are cordially welcome to start application procedure from February.

Step 1: Application process is being conducted online. Applicants must register online, accordingly to the instruction by filling in the Application Form. Applicants get the personal account in the on-line system. Their changing status is always confirmed by an e-mail.

Step 2: Applicants who successfully complete the admission process are accepted to the Medical University of Lodz when they meet the admission criteria, pass the MS Teams entrance exam and get the official Letter of Acceptance.

MS Teams entrance exam: All applicants should have extended level of knowledge in 2 of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics. The grades required should be above the average. The above knowledge is to be verified during the Skype entrance exam. The Skype interviews will begin in April and will run until July-August for the new secondary school leavers. Examination content:

For 6-year MD and 5-year DMD Programs
General questions (motivation, potential for professional behavior, socio-medical subjects)
Questions verifying knowledge of 2 out of 4 subjects listed below:
Biology – 4 questions / Chemistry – 4 questions / Physics – 4 questions / Mathematics – 4 questions

Pre-medicine preparatory course: there is no entrance exam, is organized every year between November and June, but only if there are at least 20 applicants.

Admission procedure

There are two admission periods: for the winter semester and the summer semester. The procedure is quite simple and includes an interview via MS Teams instead of a written entrance exam. This way, there is no need to travel to Poland just for an exam.

Phase 1: The application process takes place online. Candidates must register online, following the instructions, by filling out the application form. Each candidate receives a personal account in the online system. Their application status is always confirmed by email.

Phase 2: Candidates who successfully complete the admission process are accepted into the Medical University of Katowice once they meet the admission criteria, pass the MS Teams entrance exam, and receive the official letter of acceptance.

MS Teams Entrance Exam:

Candidates who do not hold A-LEVEL certificates in science subjects must take an admission interview in two subjects:

• Biology (mandatory)

• Chemistry or Physics (the candidate can choose one of the two).
