Admission procedure

The criteria for establishing the hierarchy among candidates are the following:
• the average obtained at the high school final exams – for the candidates applying for undergraduate (BA) studies: 70%;
• the online (motivational) interview: 30%.

The admission to studies is done by taking into account the decreasing order of average grades obtained by candidates at their high school final exams and the number of places available for the admission.

For the study programs with courses taught in English or French, the evaluation of application files containing proof of the applicants’ academic performance and personal achievements. The final grade of the candidates registered to the admission contest will be calculated as follows:

- the average grade of the High School final exams or equivalent – 90%;

- the letters of recommendation / certificate of volunteering – 10%.

The letters of recommendation / volunteering certificate will be written in English. Each document will highlight availability and skills of candidate for

studying veterinary medicine, as well as basic experience in working with animals. The letters submitted by the candidate will represent 10% from the final

grade. The candidates who cannot provide these documents will lose 10% from the final grade, without disqualification.

Admission procedure

International students could be admitted into the English program of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences if they provide the legalized high school or college certificate and transcript and pass the entrance test. Basic knowledge in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics is required. Good knowledge of the English language is obligatory. The entrance test has two steps: the interview and the test composed of multiple-choice questions (MCQ) in Biology and Chemistry (30 questions each). The total time to complete the test is 90 minutes.

Exemptions from the entry test are possible for the applicants with a completed bachelor or master in a medicine related filed. Proof of English

If applicants are not able to present a certificate proving the knowledge of English language (TOEFL, IELTS, B2 Level ‘Independent user’ by CEFR or adequate), they must sit the English language test, prepared by the University.

The program is open for applicants with completed secondary education, eligible for university studies in their own country. It is compulsory to have at least a "Satisfactory" grade in Biology or Chemistry, and to pass an online entrance test in biology and chemistry. This entrance test is a 30-40 minutes online survey through skype and the online e-studies system. The test is based on High School topics – basic questions in field of Biology and Chemistry. The test requirement for admission is to answer correctly at least 40% of the questions.

Admission procedure

The admission process is divided into 2 stages:

• Evaluation of secondary school diplomas (biology, chemistry grades) + English language skills. You must eventually present results in both application subjects, which are advanced biology and chemistry. At least one of those subjects must be passed by taking it as part of final high school exams, or by taking an SAT Subject Test (Chemistry or Biology M), or by taking BMAT. The second subject can be taken as part of the online interview if needed. Your result in each subject is recalculated to fit a scale from 0 to 100 points. You need to score at least 60/200 points for both subject results combined.

• Online interview with the faculty staff. Every applicant needs to participate in an online interview, divided into four parts: scientific English, knowledge in biology, knowledge in chemistry, predispositions to the veterinary profession. Each part is scored separately on a scale from 0 to 25 points, with the maximum total score for the interview being 100 points. You need to score at least 60/100 points to pass the interview.
